One Minute of Easy Movement

You can do this anywhere: in bed, in your favorite chair, wherever you are watching this right now! A great way to get your body moving. Sometimes just small movements like those featured in this video can be enough to get you motivated to do more.

Exercise Snack: March The Halls

"Exercise snacks" are short periods of physical activity.

This heightened, yet time-limited, level of activity may be ideal during chemotherapy because you may not have energy for a long workout. And doing a longer workout session may deplete your energy reserves.

Marching is a wonderful whole body workout. It promotes cardiovascular health, helps reduce chemo brain by bringing fresh, oxygenated blood to the brain, promotes good posture, and strengthens your core.

Standing Balance at the Sink

This short video contains two quick and easy balance activities at the sink.

If you've been inactive, perhaps due to chemo-induced fatigue or side effects of chemotherapy, then the exercise in this video may help you feel more secure on your feet.

Caution: only complete these activities if you are able to stand safely on your own.

Safety is key.

Do not force or push yourself excessively.

Listen to your body.

Arm Chair Push-Ups

This gentle push up re-enforces proper body mechanics while completing sit to stand functional movement. In addition, it helps tone the upper extremities, as well as increase overall strength.
